In May 2019 Dinesen launched Ash, and this Fall Dinesen is proud to add another layer to its range of high-quality wood floors: Dinesen Layers Oak. An engineered solution made from solid European Oak.
With Dinesen Layers you get an engineered floor characteristic of the high quality that imbue Dinesen’s plank floors. Dinesen Layers Oak distinguishes itself from other lamellas-built floors as it consists of three quality layers that are pressed together with a middle and a reverse bottom layer – all in solid European Oak. An elegant and subtle solution.
Craftsmanship and quality control
The quality of Dinesen Layers is three-fold: the wood, the handcraftsmanship and the Dinesen know-how.
For more that 120 years Dinesen has been driven by the passion to recreate the natural calm of the forest in the meeting between people and tree. Dinesen Layers Oak is the result of craftmanship and high-quality wood – bringing nature closer. The high-quality raw wood is sourced from European forests where forestry has been based on sustainable principles for centuries.
Every single plank is checked repeatedly throughout the Dinesen production process in the effort to deliver uncompromising quality. The planks pass through at least ten pairs of hands on their long journey through the production facilities.
As an old family business, we appreciate the importance of planning for the future. Therefore, we only use raw wood from sustainable forestry where the stands are tended with the greatest care and respect for nature. We source most of our wood from Germany, but we also work with other European countries where forestry has been based on sustainable principles for centuries.
An important element of sustainable forestry is cutting down one tree at a time, thus giving the trees a chance to grow strong and live out their total capacity, before they are felled and ready to serve new purposes. That is sustainability in practice.
Our planks are very well suited for underfloor heating and we recommend installing it as a comfortable and durable solution.
About 80% of our projects are established with underfloor heating. We have years of experience with underfloor heating under solid floors, and it is an unproblematic solution, provided you follow our instructions.
